John was raised in West Linn, Oregon and learned a lot about the Lord growing up in the Church. After high school he attended Oregon State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Philosophy with an emphasis in World Religions.
He then attended Multnomah University where he received his Graduate Certificate in Bible in 2009. He then went on to earn his Master of Divinity in Theological Studies. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the John G. Mitchell award in 2012.
He enjoys living in his native Oregon where he spends his free time with his friends and family, playing board games, hiking, camping, and playing with his sons Ezra and Levi and precious daughter Evangeline. His wife Haley has been keeping him in line for 10 years! His passions are studying and teaching God’s word and helping out with an orphanage in Haiti while also getting involved locally with foster care. He believes that the more you truly know God, the more you love Him, and love others.
