See You at the Pole

WCHS students gathered to pray around our flag pole for their community and country.

We are back! And the school year is off to a great start. Here are some highlights from the first month back at Westside Christian High School.

We welcomed parents’ to our annual Back to School to visit their students’ classes, meet with teachers and connect with coaches and staff. We are so grateful for our families that bring together our community.

Seniors shared with their fellow classmates their theme and verse of the 2018-2019 school year, “Manifold Grace” and their chosen verse. “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” (Peter 4:8-10). They asked their classmates to participate by signing a banner with a colored marker that represented a part of the verse they would live out this year.

On September 26th, WCHS students joined more than3,000,000 students nationwide by gathering around the flag pole for the annual, “See You at the Pole.” They prayed for their friends, family, school, communities and country.

Our WCHS community is feeling energized for the 2018-19 school year! We are looking forward to coming together in our mission to develop the whole person for the Glory of God and living out our seniors theme for the year ahead with manifold grace.
