Jauhn Brasseur is a Science and Technology enthusiast teaching Computer Programming, Robotic and Palenontology (dinosaur fossil) classes. After a 32 year career in cutting edge high tech computer hardware and software development at Intel, it seems a natural next step to share these learnings with the next generation of budding engineers and scientists. Along with having degrees in both Engineering and Geology, Jauhn has worked as a builder and has other passions including dinosaurs, soccer, music, raising kids, and exploration. Jauhn is also an avid history and archeology buff.
Teaching has been a part of Jauhn’s life for many years, beginning with job training in industry, teaching in church, talks to college groups and local clubs and leading Geology and Paleontology field trips. He also leads dinosaur fossil expeditions each summer providing intensive hands-on training for crew members, teenage through adult.
This is Janell Galloway’s first year at Westside Christian High School. She is teaching Chemistry, Conceptual Physics and Introduction to Chemistry. Janell earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Portland State University in 2006 and a Masters in Teaching from George Fox in 2009. Before coming to WCSH, Janell taught physical science, physics, chemistry and AP Chemistry at Sherwood High School. Janell and Scott have been married for 35 years and love traveling and spending time with their two grown sons and their families.
Angela Little teaches Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, and AP Biology. Angela earned a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Science Education from Oregon State University. Through a M.J. Murdock Grant Angela had the opportunity to spent two summers at the OHSU West campus working on MS research.
Chris will be teaching Algebra 2, Statistics and Physics and has done so for the past 11 years. Though not born here, as an infant Chris moved with his parents to the beautiful state of Oregon and has remained an Oregonian ever since. He graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Mathematics and later obtained his Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. Prior to 2000, Chris both served in Pastoral ministry and managed a radio station for a number of years. Since 2000, Chris has had the opportunity to work in education, which he considers to be the passionate vocation of his life. He is thrilled to teach young people the wonders of Science and Mathematics which he regards as irrefutable evidence of our Lord’s incredible design.
Chris and his wife Melinda have four children: Peter, Andrew, Jeffrey and Lydia. Together, they have had the immense privilege to live overseas for a number of years but have now returned to Oregon. They enjoy family time spent in playing games, exploring the outdoors, and just plain hanging out together.
